DIRECTOR AND SENIOR CONSULTANT

Muyiwa Oladosu, PhD

Muyiwa Oladosu is a Principal Director/Senior Consultant at MiraMonitor Consulting (MMC) both in Nigeria and in the United States. He has substantial technical expertise in research, monitoring, and evaluation of social and human development projects in diverse contexts all around the world. His experience spans over 20 years, primarily in countries of Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and the United States. Muyiwa is currently involved in a multi-country evaluation of Orphans and Vulnerable Children projects in Africa and the Caribbean for Catholic Relief Services. He serves as Senior Consultant to Random House, a marketing research company in Ghana. He served as European Union (EU) Senior International Monitor for the 2006 Nigeria Census Project, and was an EU management expert to the Census Project. Prior to joining MMC, he was a Senior Research Associate with The Guttmacher Institute, New York, United States; where he worked on a number of development projects including those on adolescent risky sexual behaviors in sub-Saharan Africa, and abortion complications and consequences in Nigeria. He was a Research Officer with Population Services International, where he provided technical research assistance to 15 country programs on a wide ranging issues including HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, family planning, malaria and health behaviors, and multivitamins use among pregnant women in Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America and the United States. He has diverse expertise on contemporary approaches to management and problem diagnostics, conceptualization, and mixed methodological approach to research. Muyiwa received his PhD in Rural Sociology and Demography from Pennsylvania State University, United States; MA in Population and Social Research from Mahidol University, Thailand; and B.Sc. from University of Ife (now OAU), Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He is a member of notable professional organizations including American Public Health Association, Population Association of America, Rural Sociological Society of America, American Evaluation Association, and Union for African Population Studies.

Alexandra Kofitse (PhD) is based in USA. His has substantial expertise and experience in poverty research and analysis, demographic studies, energy and other public utility regulation analysis, statistics and econometrics. He has vast experience in population and health planning, and institutional capacity building. His PhD is in Agricultural Economics and Demography from Pennsylvania State University, USA, MA in Economics from McMaster University, Canada, Certificate in Population Planning and International Health from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA, and Graduate Diploma in Population Studies, Regional Institute for population Studies (RIPS), Ghana, and BA Economics from University of Ghana.

Jason Schachter (PhD) currently resides in Switzerland. His areas of specializations and experience are in migration, statistical techniques and research methods, quantitative analysis, poverty, and social stratifications. His PhD and MS degrees are in Rural Sociology and Demography from Pennsylvania State University, USA, Master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University, USA and BA in European History from Bates College, USA.

Rolando J. Figueroa (MD, FACOG) is currently based in El Salvador. He has extensive technical and programmatic experience in HIV/AIDS, infant and young child feeding, maternal nutrition, safe motherhood, family planning, and strategic planning on health issues. He was professor and chairman of the Obstetrics and Gynecology department Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, and lectured in several Universities in Latin America, United States, Jordan, and Thailand. He has an MD from the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and gynecology, Fellow Reproductive Medicine, Georgetown University, USA, and a Certified International Lactation Consultant.

Ikechi Chibuzo Mgbeoji (JSD) lives in Canada. He has substantial professional expertise in international affairs and policy, comparative and transnational law, global security and constitutional governance, international intellectual property law, and environmental impact assessment and review. He holds a J.S.D. and LL.M in Law from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; B.L from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos, Nigeria, and LL.B from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, Nigeria.

Silvana Vargas (PhD) is based in Peru, Latin America. Her areas of focus and expertise include social demography, rural development, children and youth education and child labor in LDCs, environment and exploitation in rural communities, and applied research and extension in deprived urban and rural communities. She has a PhD in Rural Sociology and Demography, Pennsylvania State University, USA, Professional Degree in Sociology, and BA in Social Sciences, both from Pontifica Universidad Catolica del Peru.

Babacar Ndiaye (MS) is located in Senegal. His professional experience include financial accounting, billing and collection, human resource management, international relations and cooperation, procurement and logistics, communication and public relations, IT and system management, auditing and evaluation of project funds, and grant management, merging acquisition and investment. He holds an MS (DESCOGEF) in Finance and Audit, CESAG, Senegal, Certificate in International Human Resource Management, and Diploma in Accounting & Finance (DEFC) from INTEC CNAM Paris, France.

Johnson Olanrewaju (PhD) is based in USA. He has substantial experience and expertise in development and application of integrated technologies for soil and groundwater remediation, industrial and hazardous waste treatment focusing on physicochemical and or biological stabilization and immobilization, synthesis and characterization of materials, and kinetics of water-rock interactions. He holds a PhD in Geo-Environmental Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, USA, MS in Hydrogeology and BS in Geology both from The State University of New York, Stony Brook, USA.

Olapeju Adenusi (MPH, MA, MBBS) is located in Nigeria. Her professional experience and expertise are diverse cutting across reproductive health, family planning, health policy development and analysis, biostatistics, epidemiology, health and social services, occupational and environmental health, health communication strategies and research methods. Her MPH is from University of Lagos, Nigeria, MA in Population and Family Planning Research from Mahidol University, Thailand, and MBBS in Medicine and Surgery from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. She has certificates in Population Program Management, University of Wales, Cardiff, and in Family Planning Management, University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

Tokunbo B. Oluwole (PhD) is based in USA. He has wide-ranging skills and expertise includes health economics, health insurance, health disparities, health outcomes, quantitative policy analysis, consumer choice in health care, research design, statistical and econometric analysis, health policy analysis, climate change and impact on land, and agro ecosystem and policy. His PhD is in Health Policy and Administration, and MS in Agricultural, Regional and Environmental Economics both from Pennsylvania State University, USA, MS in Agricultural Economics, and BS in Agricultural Extension Services from University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

Amos Abu (PhD) is based in Nigeria. His expertise include application of geographical information systems (GIS), remote sensing, and cartography to health policy research, environmental and behavioral risk disease assessment and mapping, project conceptualization, development, and implementation, project monitoring, evaluation, and impact assessment, and capacity building on contemporary health issues. Birgit Kersens (PhD) lives in Belgium. She has expertise in project monitoring and evaluation, health policy analysis and evaluation, cost-effectiveness analysis of health care, epidemiology and morbidity, taxation, and designing of modern system of trade controls. Her PhD is in Applied Economics from University of Antwerp, Belgium, MS in Economics from Catholic University of Leuven, and MS in Health Economics from VLEKHO Brussels, Belgium.

DeWitt J. Webster (PhD, MPH) is based in USA. He has a broad range of expertise and experience in monitoring and evaluation of projects, crime and violence prevention among vulnerable groups, community and youth development and substance abuse, and qualitative and quantitative research methods. He holds a PhD in Behavioral Health from Pennsylvania State University, USA, MPH in Health Education, and BA in Community Health both from University of Minnesota, USA.

Sule Ochai (PhD) lives in the USA. Has diverse expertise including health economics, health policy and administration, agricultural economics, rural sociology, demography, natural resource and environment. He is skilled in mathematical programming, simulation models, statistical and econometric techniques, and categorical and limited dependent variable modeling. Alymana Bathily (MA) is based in Senegal. Syed Ibrahim Hassan (MA) resides in Pakistan. He has extensive experience in market research, mixed methodological studies combining qualitative and quantitative approaches, monitoring and evaluation of human and development projects, development of new products and services, establishing quality assurance process indicators, evidence-based decision making, customer propensity and attrition analysis, and spending behavior analysis. He holds a MA in Sociology from University of the Punjab, Lahore, and BA from Forman Christian College, Lahore.

Tesfayi Gebreselassie (PhD) lives in the USA. He has strong background and experience in applied econometrics & statistics, economic development, demography and research methods. He is very versatile in dealing with large data sets and analysis of missing data. He has a PhD in Economic Development & Demography and MA in Economics from Pennsylvania State University, MA in Econometrics & Social Statistics from University of kent at Canterbury, UK, and B.SC. Adekunle Ganiyu Ajala (MS) is located in Nigeria. He has varied and wide expertise in corporate strategy and development, market research, procurement planning and logistics, accounting and finance, business engineering, human resource and management in general. John Adetunji Akindejoye (MS) is based in Nigeria. Has extensive experience in teaching and learning in financial management, cooperative banking systems, elements of banking, banking laws and regulations, he also has working experience in corporate and strategic planning and execution, mortgage loans monitoring and disbursement, internal auditing, banking operations and treasury management. He has expertise in demography and social statistics with focus on aging, care support and the elderly, statistical techniques, gender and social policies, research methods, and labor force measurements. He holds a PhD, MS, and BS in Demography and Social Statistics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.

Patrick C. R. Ogbonna (MPA) lives in Nigeria. His areas of expertise and experience are; logistics and distribution management, health policy and implementation, HIV/AIDS policy and advocacy, sales, marketing, and regulatory affairs, workshop and conferences planning, implementation and rapporteur, project design, management, monitoring and evaluation. He holds a MS in Public Administration, BA in Microbiology Virology, HND in Laboratory Science, PG Dip in Purchase and Supply, and PG Dip in Community Health.

Delani Adeleye (MS) lives in USA. Has expertise in design, creation and management of demographic and health geo-database and metadata, spatial data analysis, geographic information systems, qualitative and quantitative study design, data conversion, vectorization and geo-coding, cartographic skills-labeling, annotation and symbology. He has a MS in Geography, PGD in Computer Science, and BS in Geography and Planning all from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

Festus A. D. Etame (MS) is based in Nigeria. He has expertise in corporate administration, communication, personnel and management consulting; he has conducted series of training and workshops in these areas in both private and public sectors. He holds a MS in Sociology from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and BS in Sociology from the University of Benin, Nigeria.

Abel Ganna (BS) is a research and public relations coordinator at MMC Nigeria. He has vast experience in management, work-place administration, and procurement. Prior to joining MMC, Nigeria, he was an administrative officer with Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), Abuja, Nigeria. He holds a BS degree in Business Administration from University of Abuja, Nigeria. He is a student member of Chartered Institute of Administration (CIAN), Nigeria. He is computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, and Quicken accounting software.

Ayo Toriola (ND) is a research and public relations officer with MMC Nigeria. He has unique skills and experience in office administration, sales and marketing coordination, and journalistic research and reporting. Prior to joining MMC Nigeria, he was operations manager at Tericomms Ltd. Sheraton Hotels, Abuja, Nigeria, and was a researcher/reporter with DBN Television, Lagos, Nigeria. He has a National Diploma (ND) in Journalism from Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Lagos, Nigeria. He is computer literate and proficient with Word, Excel, and Quicken accounting software.
